Class 12 English Prose Syllabus [15 marks]
1. Two Short Answer Type Questions. [4 + 4 = 8 marks]
2. One Long Answer Type Question. [7 marks]
Class 12 English Poetry Syllabus [10 marks]
3. Three Very Short Answer Type Questions based on the given Poetry Extract. [3 x 2 = 6 marks]
Note: Questions related to identification of the following figures of speech will be included in the poetry section. Simile, Metaphor, Personification, Oxymoron, Apostrophe, Hyperbole, Onomatopoiea
4. Central Idea of the given Poem [4 marks]

2. Article (Descriptive, Argumentative, Autobiographical) (100 to 150 words) [10 Marks]
3. Letter to the Editor, Business letter, Complaint letters. [10 Marks]
Section-C: Grammar [25 marks]
Up Board Class 12th English Grammar Syllabus –
4. Ten questions (MCQs and very short answer type questions) based on Narration, Synthesis, Transformation, Syntax, Idioms and Phrases/Phrasal Verbs, Synonyms, Antonyms, One Word Substitution, Homophones. [10 x 2 = 20 Marks]
5. Translation from Hindi to English (7-8 sentences). [5 Marks]
