Class 12th English Poetry A Roadside Stand central idea – Up Board Class 12th English Central Idea ‘A Roadside Stand’
Roadside Stand is a poem by ‘Robert Frost’ which is based on the plight of today’s poor villagers who farm their fields and sell their produce by the roadside. And they make small stalls, sit there all day and expect some shopping from all the travelers who come but most of them ignore them and don’t stop. Junglee Jamun and many other fresh things are sold but the people of the city do not show any interest in them but make fun of them and insult them. The poet is extremely disappointed and demands their betterment but most of the bureaucrats and politicians make false promises and use those soft poor for their own benefit and purposes. Rarely does a passerby stop there but only to inquire about the route (route) or fuel. The poet is sad and imagines to stop their pain in a jiffy but soon he returns to his mind and realizes the reality that it is absolutely impossible. Even he cannot get relief from his pain.

‘रोडसाइड स्टैंड’ ‘रॉबर्ट फ्रॉस्ट’ की एक कविता है जो कि आज के गरीब ग्रामीणों की दयनीय स्थिति पर आधारित है जो अपने खेतों में खेती करते हैं और सड़क के किनारे अपने उत्पाद को बेचते हैं। और वे छोटे-छोटे स्टॉल बनाते हैं, पूरे दिन वहीं बैठते हैं और आने वाले सभी यात्रियों से कुछ खरीदारी की उम्मीद करते हैं लेकिन उनमें से अधिकांश उन्हें अनदेखा कर देते हैं और रुकते नहीं हैं। जंगली जामुन और कई अन्य ताजी चीजें बेची जाती हैं लेकिन शहर के लोग उनमें कोई दिलचस्पी नहीं दिखाते हैं बल्कि उनका मजाक उड़ाते हैं और उनका अपमान करते हैं। कवि बेहद निराश है और उनकी बेहतरी की मांग करता है लेकिन अधिकांश नौकरशाह और राजनेता झूठे वादे करते हैं और उन कोमल गरीबों को अपने फायदे और उद्देश्यों के लिए इस्तेमाल करते हैं। शायद ही कोई राहगीर वहां रुकता हो लेकिन सिर्फ रास्ता (मार्ग) या ईंधन के बारे में पूछताछ करने के लिए। कवि दुखी है और एक झटके में उनके दर्द को रोकने की कल्पना करता है लेकिन जल्द ही वह अपने दिमाग में लौट आता है और वास्तविकता को समझता है कि यह बिल्कुल असंभव है। यहां तक कि उसे अपने दर्द से भी राहत नहीं मिल पाती है।
